The association Les Anneaux de la Mémoire and La Maison de l'Afrique in Nantes are co-producing a contemporary art exhibition on the theme of the restitution of African heritage as part of the Year of Africa in France and the special event organised by the City of Nantes. The exhibition aims to promote contemporary creation and the artists' view of the restitution of heritage looted by Europeans: a contemporary debate that has its roots in colonial history and refers to the issues of memory and transmission.
